SUMMARY OF POSITION
Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Reliability Engineer. The Reliability Engineer has the overall responsibility for monitoring and improving reliability and performance of plant production and support equipment. This individual will champion TPM, root cause analysis of failures, continual improvement initiatives, 5S, and visual plant activities for the Engineering Services department. This person is a key resource for the maintenance team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive TPM, Six Sigma, 5S, and visual plant efforts.
• Manage predictive maintenance program including Thermal Scanning, Ultrasonic, Tribology and Vibration monitoring to ensure compliance to established standards.
• Develop reliability program, define metrics and develop training plan.
• Lead maintenance planning and process procedure improvements via reliability tools.
• Hands-on facilitation of RCA events.
• Performing and leading FMEA’s.
• Review and manage contractor proposals to ensure compliance to reliability program and provide process equipment testing oversight.
• Review Engineering specs and design modification to process equipment for reliability capability.
• Provide “design for reliability” input to capital projects.
• Partner with members of the Maintenance, Engineering and Environmental teams to ensure Best Maintenance Practices are employed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance, plant, or reliability engineering experience in continuous manufacturing environment.
• Proven history of continual improvement accomplishments.
• Working knowledge of TPM, root cause analysis, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, 5s and visual plant concepts.
• Excellent communications, organizational, teamwork, and computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals in team based environment.
• Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience would be a plus.
• CRE certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills that includes a strong sense of ownership.
