Reliability Engineer / I&E Focused - Orange, Texas

Job Responsibilities
*Improve Equipment Reliability (IER) - Team player within site reliability organization that focuses on improving versus repairing. An entrepreneurial thinker that considers return on investment within the decision making process. Constantly seeks to improve technical instrumentation and electrical skills and learning that develop proactive habits that preventing I&E equipment failures with results that improve equipment reliability. Sets high standards and embraces goals and objectives that are in alignment with reliability organization that supports operations.

*Routine Maintenance (RM) - Coach and technical liaison for area operations and maintenance organization by providing assistance in troubleshooting equipment and identifies deficiencies in equipment original design. Develops solutions and drives to completion elimination of design deficiencies that are supported by improved equipment performance and reliability. Leader in improving existing I&E asset preventive maintenance programs as well as identifying spare parts that are needed to support those activities.

Small Projects (SP) - Project manager that involves developing scope, cost estimate and identifies benefits to improve I&E asset reliability. Identifies and prioritizes opportunities that eliminates unreliable assets and executes solution through small project implementation that supports the business goals and objectives.

*Embraces site safety, environmental and business ethics. Takes responsibility for personal contribution and considers success within the context of team, not individually. Strong interpersonal skills coupled with excellent verbal and written skills. Results oriented and demonstrated ability to work effectively with all personnel regardless of function or level.


Minimum Skills required:
*B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Instrumentation, General)
*5+ years plant or related experience, preferably in a petrochemicals operation
*Process simulation experience is a plus Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
*Ability to work effectively with all personnel regardless of function/level. Strong organization and planning skills. Results oriented.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
*Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personnel protective equipment
*Must be able to climb stairs in operating unit
*Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions for various periods of time
*Must be willing to work periodic work days in excess of 8 hours
*Must be willing to relocate to Orange, TX.
