RELIABILITY ENGINEER


You will serve as a specialist in the area of mechanical integrity and/or rotating equipment with the goals of improving equipment reliability and lowering maintenance costs through the application of predictive maintenance technologies. Responsibilities include identifying pending equipment failures; ensuring that required testing/new work is in compliance with state/federal codes; reviewing new equipment; minimizing life cycle cost of equipment; developing/maintaining reliability specifications; and auditing maintenance data.


MS or BS in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering and up to 8 years of experience required. 2-3 years’ reliability engineering experience preferred. Must have technical expertise in the areas of plant processes, equipment and multiple maintenance crafts; expertise in predictive maintenance practices; and knowledge of plant safety and cGMP requirements. Understanding of probability and statistical tools required. Strong mathematical, computer, analytical and problem solving skills required. CMRP certification desired.

PLANT RELIABILITY ENGINEER - PURIFICATION


You will provide direct manufacturing support for plant operations, to include troubleshooting equipment failures and improving equipment reliability; developing and owning small capital projects; and participating on larger capital projects. Will also be responsible for improving the performance of equipment and processes that include cost and cycle time reduction as well as safety and quality improvements.


Requires a BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 5 years relevant experience. Candidate must have excellent mechanical engineering knowledge and experience with rotating equipment and metallurgy.

April 30, 2009   Maintenance and Reliability Superintendant: Memphis Corn Milling

Overview:

The successful candidate is responsible for the continued implementation and leadership of a progressive and integrated Reliability Centered Maintenance and Equipment Reliability Improvement process in a large multiple product processing facility. The candidate is a key leader in creating and managing change in the organization. The candidate is also a leader in the operations management team and is responsible for driving the improvement of plant reliability-championing the continued move from reactive to proactive maintenance.  He or She will apply knowledge and experience to ensure continuous improvement to optimize the company’s physical assets and maintenance and reliability processes and strategies.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Member of the plant leadership team: Develops and implements strategies to identify, prioritize, and implement proactive maintenance and asset reliability improvement processes and projects.
• Develops and lead the maintenance and reliability team.
• Responsible for the facility maintenance budget and for using maintenance and reliability principles to improve the facility costs and productivity.
• Utilizes leadership and expertise in the principles of Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance to create an environment of continuous, aggressive asset reliability improvement.
• Responsible for working with site contractors to ensure a safe work environment with a basis in behavioral based principles.
Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or other Engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in production, maintenance, or project management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams
• Excellent written and oral communications skills (Including the ability to present information to a formal group).
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment, and failures.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and implement projects that improve the operational effectiveness of a processing facility.
• Experience using Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques, Cause Analysis, and Predictive Maintenance technologies (e.g Vibration analysis, infrared, acoustic emissions, tribology, etc.) to create a proactive work environment that is focused on continuous improvement at best cost.
• Working Knowledge of Food Safety, OSHA, and Environmental regulations

Preferred:
• Certified Maintenance Reliability Profession (CMRP) certification
• Qualification on Predictive Maintenance Technologies
