- Proven track record of promoting a learning culture.
- Intermediate computer skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MMS or equivalent highly desired.

The BP-Husky Refining facility (formerly known as BP Toledo Refinery) located in Northwest Ohio, has operated continuously since 1919. The Sales Manager - Reliability Solutions is responsible for generating sales of reliability products and services including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, and other diagnostic and corrective services.  Condition monitoring products, including handheld vibration data analyzers, and a variety of online systems are included in the scope of sales responsibility, as part of Timken’s complete reliability solutions offering. The primary results for which the Sales Manager is responsible include:
• Managing the sales of Timken Reliability Products and Services for end user industrial customers in the assigned broad geographic region, focusing on the desired industry segments.
• Developing and executing a regional sales plan to achieve profitable sales and sustainable growth.
• Encouraging growth and fostering good relations with existing reliability customers.
• Providing supplemental reliability services including vibration analysis and infrared thermography as needed to support growth.
• Maintaining strong communications with the regional bearing sales and service team, distributors, and local reliability field engineers.
• Providing training support to designated customers.
Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or a GED with 10 years of work experience in maintenance and condition monitoring or a bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or business with 3 years of experience in maintenance and condition monitoring. Level 1 Vibration Analysis certification is required as well as 2 years of service sales experience.  Infrared Thermography Level 1 certification is preferred, but not required.

Depending on the location of the qualified candidate, this position could be located in various locations in the Southwestern United States.

January 15, 2009   Sr. Reliability Engineer - Clayton, NC

Position Purpose:
The Reliability Engineer serves as a specialist in the area of mechanical integrity and/or rotating equipment with the goals of improving equipment reliability and lowering maintenance costs through the application of predictive maintenance technologies. The incumbent will lead Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) activities targeted to drive equipment reliability improvements.  The Reliability Engineer will be a key resource and subject matter expert for several current and future Total Process Reliability teams.


Major Tasks of the Position:

•Develop Predictive Maintenance strategies to identify pending equipment failures utilizing technologies such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic inspection, thermography, and oil analysis.

•Lead FMEA, RCFA, and RCM studies on identified equipment and develop Corrective Action Plans to maximize availability and reliability.

•Manage the plant Mechanical Integrity program and ensure that all required testing and new work is in compliance with state and federal code requirements.

•Facilitate reliability reviews of new equipment installed as part of capital projects.  Apply reliability tools and methods to minimize overall Life Cycle Cost of equipment.

•Perform PM reviews in order to insure potential failure modes are addressed with the appropriate mitigation activities conducted at the optimum frequency.  Look for opportunities to replace PMs with non-intrusive PdM inspections.

•Develop and maintain reliability specifications to ensure equipment reliability.  Specifications could include shaft alignment procedures and tolerances, electric motor rebuild requirements, lubricant selection guidelines, component standardizations, and dynamic balance requirements.

•Audit and ensure accurate and current data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).  Develop and report on reliability trends and opportunity areas using CMMS data.
Position Requirements


Job Requirements and Capabilities:

Engineer III - Minimum 4 years of maintenance and reliability experience.

Sr. Engineer - Minimum 6 years of maintenance and reliability experience.

Principal Engineer - Minimum 8 years of maintenance and reliability experience.

•Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
•Prefer 2-3 years reliability engineering experience.
•Technical expertise in the areas of plant processes, equipment, and multiple maintenance crafts with the ability to apply this knowledge in the creation of timely, complete, technically-correct, and cost-effective equipment reliability recommendations.
•Expertise in the application of FMEA, RCFA, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and predictive maintenance practices and technologies.
•Understanding of probability and statistical tools and how to use them to analyze the equipment life cycle.
•Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills with the ability to apply them to assess and improve equipment reliability.
•Knowledge of plant safety, environmental, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements related to maintenance work.
•Ability to develop and interpret models, block diagrams, files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals to assess and implement improvements.
•PC skills and experience with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
•Ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams across multiple business units.
•Willingness to initiate and embrace change.
•Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification desired.
•Ability to train plant personnel in reliability concepts and benefits.
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.

Field Service Supervisor


In this role you will support the Manager of Product Introduction and support all activities relating to the Chicago contract.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support engineering investigations on revenue service related issues. Provide accurate and timely reports on the modification and warranty programs to management.
• Responsible for receiving, commissioning, provide warranty support and completing all modifications issues on these vehicles.
• Supervise paperwork process to ensure that all paperwork for any modification and warranty work is supplied to the Bensalem office for processing. This would also include any material that is received or returned to the suppliers.
• Communicate directly with the Customer’s representatives, vendors and internal contacts.  They would have to build a strong relationship, negotiate favorable conditions for train access and movements and other customer support issues. They would be working independently and as part of the team to achieve the goals in the contract.
• Completion of the Chicago Safety training and ensure compliance to all Federal, State and Industry mandated safety rules and regulations.  Ensure that all staff on-site is trained as per requirements.
• Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s ) to measure efficiency and adherence to team goals.


Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years experience within electrical engineering is required.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience at a supervisory level, working with electro-mechanical equipment and technical staff.  Experience in product support is a distinct advantage.  You will ideally be working within the transportation or avionics industry , rail experience is preferred.

A bachelors degree in engineering, from an accredited college or suitable equivalent work experience is essential.

Flexibility is also required as there will be some travel.
