Experience:  Candidates should preferably have three plus years of industrial Infrared experience, but will consider a strong candidate with less experience. Need excellent planning, organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and written, verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with others in a professional manner.  Proven ability to work effectively alone and in small teams.  Must have flexibility to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities and ability to work under pressure.

Job Description:
• Fixed Equipment Engineer capable of performing Fitness for Service Assessments in accordance with API 579, including compliance with appropriate jurisdictional and insurance requirements. All results of the FFS assessment shall be documented and filed with the appropriate permanent equipment records.
Responsibilities:
• Provide fixed equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks) and piping technical support for multiple North American INVISTA sites as part of corporate reliability group.
• Support the site technical resources as needed to solve complex fixed equipment problems. Perform Fitness for Service analysis / calculations for pressure vessels and piping and document results.
• Provide support (as needed) for implementation of a fixed equipment and piping inspection and mechanical integrity program across multiple sites based on risk based inspection (RBI) practices. Actively engage with proactive site reliability improvement efforts.
• Identify and leverage best practices between sites. Facilitate knowledge sharing.


Required:
• 3-5 years of experience performing API 579 FFS calculations
• BS in Engineering
• 10 years of Fixed Equipment Experience with ASME Pressure Vessel Design
• 10 years experience with oil and gas, refining, or petrochemical equipment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills are necessary
• Demonstrated technical expertise in some of the ‘preferred’ skills below


Preferred:
• Experience with VCESage software
• Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Experience
• Knowledge in the operation, troubleshooting, repair of: Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping, valves, pressure relief devices, welding, risk based inspection, fitness for service, inspection and NDE practices and techniques

Leader in improving existing I&E asset preventive maintenance programs as well as identifying spare parts that are needed to support those activities.

Small Projects (SP) - Project manager that involves developing scope, cost estimate and identifies benefits to improve I&E asset reliability. Identifies and prioritizes opportunities that eliminates unreliable assets and executes solution through small project implementation that supports the business goals and objectives.

*Embraces site safety, environmental and business ethics. Takes responsibility for personal contribution and considers success within the context of team, not individually. Strong interpersonal skills coupled with excellent verbal and written skills. Results oriented and demonstrated ability to work effectively with all personnel regardless of function or level.


Minimum Skills required:
*B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Instrumentation, General)
*5+ years plant or related experience, preferably in a petrochemicals operation
*Process simulation experience is a plus Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
*Ability to work effectively with all personnel regardless of function/level. Strong organization and planning skills. Results oriented.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
*Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personnel protective equipment
