VIS is looking for a predictive maintenance technician for project assignments in Western PA.  This opportunity offers paid overtime as well as health benefits. 

A predictive maintenance technician regularly monitors equipment with a goal of achieving higher equipment reliability and lower maintenance costs through the application of predictive maintenance technologies.  The right candidate should have experience with the following:
• Data collection, analysis and reporting utilizing the latest technologies
• Dual and single plane balancing
• Laser alignment
• Infrared Thermography
• Installation of vibration transducers
• Asset component management
• High mechanical aptitude
• Plant CMMS systems
• Vibration Analysis

Work is performed in various customers manufacturing facilities that may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, and large mobile equipment.

Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety foot wear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment.

Requirements:
• Valid state driver’s license
• Working knowledge and understanding of moving and rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and conveyors, and cranes.
• Effective written, verbal, and communication skills.
• Travel to various facilities and interaction with vendors, other contractors and the client’s personnel.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must successfully complete all appropriate safety training including but not limited to MSHA, OSHA, and site specific training.
