Job Description: Only Job Reps can communicate specific work tasks to contract supervision.
The Job Rep must communicate and coordinate daily contractor activities through the Contractor Manager
Lead by example (PPE, housekeeping, follow procedures, etc)
Direct all contractor activities (in areas of responsibilities)
Monitor and direct schedule compliance
Provide input for changes to the scheduler
Complete daily safety audits
Request permits (ATW) 24 hours in advance
Review permits (ATW) with contractors prior to starting work
Participate in contractors JSA
Report contractor status/progress daily
Request crane needs 72 hours in advance
Request inspection QA/QC needs 24 hours in advance
Set up vacuum truck and hydro-blasting needs with scheduler in advance
Complete daily housekeeping audits with contractors
Review Job Notes with contractors to assure compliance
Verify contractor daily Force Reports with clerk
Verify and sign daily time sheets with contractors
Report daily status and concerns at 7:30 a.m. meeting
Keep a daily log, accessible to the Contractor manager
Make a copy of daily notes each day and turn in to the planner and scheduler
Review all critical lifts
Attend all Safety meetings
Report all incidents to Site Manager and Safety Rep
Verify all materials are on site in advance
Off-rent equipment as soon as possible (through scheduler)
Verify headcount in case of evacuation

Job Requirements: 10+ years onsite at a Mining facility preferred – or petrochem/refinery site.  Mobility a must – ability to climb, some lifting.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Modify and document all Honeywell/Triconex software and; monitor and maintain Honeywell/Triconex hardware. This job was created to provide one group responsibility for plant process control system function and reliability.

ORGANIZATION:

• Maintenance Superintendent
• I&E Supervisor

DIMENSIONS:

• Financial - Assist in budgeting of capital expenditures for Honeywell/Triconex equipment for projects and system improvements.
• Plant Operations - Maintain and improve control schemes for plant reliability and quality and efficiency of 3000 control loops.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Implement control schemes to minimize plant downtime and increase quality and profitability.
• Document all Honeywell/Triconex system changes such as: P&ID drawings & loop drawings.
• Maintain system documentation of points, programs, and logic blocks.
• Maintain Honeywell performance data and monitor reliability of system.
• Explain control schemes to process engineers, operators and I&E technicians.
• Make recommendations for control system improvements.
• Direct of assist in hardware maintenance.
• Assist and/or make recommendations on all new instrumentation projects involving Honeywell/Triconex.  Also design and program (online) Honeywell/Triconex to meet project requirements.
• Assist or troubleshoot Honeywell/Triconex and other instrumentation or process control problems.
• Train process engineers and operators on operation control schemes.
• Write procedures for Honeywell/Triconex changes and upgrades.
• Assist process operator training and writing instructions for operators to use Honeywell control systems. Provide Honeywell/Yokagawa support for Bayport Plant.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Make day to day changes to Honeywell/Triconex control system such as: schematics, groups, points, programs, logic blocks, etc. as required by work orders or management request. All work is done according to ATOFINA La Porte Management of Change Policy. This includes documentation of P&I drawings, loop sheets, and associated Honeywell/Triconex system documentation. Backup all software changes to ZIP Discs cartridges, as implemented; a complete system backup (including pictures, history modules, network, areas and points) every three months with a copy sent to Corporate. Provide design assistance to Process Engineers in all projects involving the Honeywell/Triconex system. Provide control loop troubleshooting to Process Technicians, Engineers and I&E Technicians including field instrumentation. Responsible for all Honeywell software upgrades including purchasing and installation of necessary hardware. Write Pascal Programs to collect process data from Honeywell system to a personal computer and maintain a set of backup data on tapes. Establish deadlines and priorities for all control systems changes and additions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years Honeywell/Triconex Process Control Systems experience maintaining a Honeywell TDC 3000/Triconex system with hardware and software experience.
• Ability to work full time in the United States.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the mechanical department. Submit to pre-employment and random drug screens.
