Trico purchases lubrication services firm Predict USA

Trico Corporation has purchased Predict USA to enhance its lubrication management services, according to Trico chief executive officer Robert Jung.

The acquisition enables Trico to bring oil analysis and monitoring services in-house. This means Trico will offer a one-stop shop for all predictive lubrication management services to its clients.

“Predict is a well-respected company and brand,” Jung said. “Bringing our two organizations together creates a true total solutions package for manufacturers looking to enhance the life of their equipment and improve overall operations.”

Predict, based in Cleveland, will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Trico Corporation, but continue to operate under its current brand name, according to Trico president Nick Kroll.

Trico will strengthen the ferrography services offered by Predict.

“Ferrography and the accompanying instrumentation is one of the niche strengths of Predict. We’re looking to improve this part of the program, along with a host of other services,” Kroll said.

Predict is a leading provider of predictive condition monitoring technologies including ferrography, lubricant analysis and vibration analysis. Predict provides its customers with integrated services, turnkey systems or combined service and in-house data analysis systems.

Trico Corporation provides lubrication management services, including lubrication assessments, facility audits, consulting and training, as well as a complete lubrication product line.
