Matrikon Inc. (TSX:MTK) today announced that a
major international petroleum company has standardized on ProcessDoctor,
Matrikon’s solution for auditing, monitoring and optimizing the assets that
control plants for all 16 of their refineries and gas plants. The roll-out of
the technology has already begun with one refinery being fully commissioned
and two more with plans for immediate deployment.
Mike Brown, Matrikon’s vice president of technology commented: “We are
pleased that ProcessDoctor was chosen as best in class following a thorough
evaluation by the petroleum company, which included testing available control
performance technology from a number of vendors. Working with one of the
world’s largest crude oil producers will help to further institutionalize this
technology and to move other opportunities in the petroleum industry forward.”
