Cedip Infrared Systems has chosen the Photonex 2006 exhibition in Stoneleigh Park, UK (18 - 19th October 2006) to display its new SILVER 660M IR camera to the UK public.

The new camera brings together Cedip’s proprietary high performance cooled Indium Antimonide (3-5µm) staring focal plane array detector with the latest ROIC technology. The result is a large format (640 x 512 pixels) cooled IR camera that delivers an outstanding 100 Hz full frame rate while maintaining extraordinary linearity, high resolution and uncompromised sensitivity (typically 15 mK). The SILVER 660M been designed for the most demanding users of IR technology, who need to perform thermal imaging at high spatial resolution with leading-edge sensitivity and accuracy - all at an affordable price.

August 26, 2006   SKF acquires Precision Balancing & Analyzing and Monitek

SKF has acquired Precision Balancing & Analyzing (PB&A), Mentor, Ohio, USA and Monitek Australia, located in Brisbane, Australia. SKF is paying some SEK 60 million in total.

PB&A is specialized in the repair and upgrading of machine tool spindle mechanisms and has 40 employees with annual sales of USD 7 million. PB&A’s activities complement SKF’s spindle service operations and improve the geographical coverage of the US market.

SKF’s global certified spindle service network has now increased to 17 Service Centers, covering most industrialized manufacturing areas worldwide.

Monitek is a leading Australian predictive maintenance services company. It is a supplier of high quality vibration monitoring and wear debris analysis in the mining industry. Yearly sales amount to 4.3 Million Australian Dollars and the number of employees is 29.
