EMD1 is the prerequisite for EMD2 and EMD3.  It focuses on the theory of operation of electrical motor diagnostic devices, standards that relate to EMD and hands-on MCA, MCSA and ESA testing and evaluation.  The focus of EMD1 is AC induction machines and coils, setting the groundwork for analysis of DC machines, transformers, traction machines, servo equipment, drives, power quality analysis, Time To Failure Estimation™ techniques and the development of motor management programs which are covered in detail in EMD2 and EMD3.

Get hands-on experience with electro-mechanical device theory, build a motor and run it, learn the concepts of TTFE and how to start a program, have the tools to identify the Key Performance Indicators of a good motor management program, interpret online and offline motor diagnostics techniques with alarms and fault tolerances!  It does not matter if you are using ALL-TEST Pro, PdMA, Baker, CSI or other current signature analysis instruments, we will teach you how to interpret the data whether you are electrical, mechanical, field service or management.
