Association for Maintenance Professionals

Dear Maintenance Professional,

I want to share what my first month as a member of the new not-for-profit Association for Maintenance Professionals has included so you will consider adding your voice, your knowledge and your experience to the community.

I have been expanding my professional contact network, joining special interest groups, participating in educational web workshops, adding my voice to discussions on everything from Key Performance Indicators to Change Management.  The resources seem to grow daily.  I have even reconnected with a number of people I have not seen for years.
Rather than waiting for a higher authority to pronounce “best practices” - Association for Maintenance Professionals members are freely sharing real world information about what works and what does not work.

Active members include community leaders like Jack Nicholas Jr., Ricky Smith, Steve Thomas, Joel Levitt, Terry Wireman, Jason Tranter, “Pete” Peters, Al Weber, Bob DiStefano, Jeff Shuler, Dave Krings, John Snell, Doug Plucknette, Phill Slater and Steve Turner.  It also includes some of my friends like TRO, KC, ISCREAM, MJ, MotorDoc, ElectriPete and other who prefer to use screen names for privacy control.

Member benefits include access to special interest groups, photo posting, video and file sharing, full privacy control, member email and web page, personal blog tools, forums and much more.

Steering and leadership committees are being formed to decide how this organization can continue to connect every maintenance professional in the world and to guide this organization into a future of supporting the community in every way possible.

I know that your day is filled with all of the responsibilities and unexpected events that come with being a maintenance professional, however this community needs you and I’ll bet you have friends who already belong.  If not - you have friends waiting for you at the Association for Maintenance Professionals.

Please take a few minutes to find out more about the Association for Maintenance Professionals at http://www.maintenance.org

Thank you in advance,

Terrence O’Hanlon, CMRP
