January 27, 2006   FlowGuard™ oil handling products tackle market needs

The newest products to bear the Des-Case trademark are in a new category of offerings: oil handling. Des-Case now manufactures hand carts, hydraulic adaptor with breather kits, and drum adaptor with breather kits. Des-Case continues to present the same solution as in the past: “Keeping Contamination Under Control”, but now with a new member to the contamination control family.

The FlowGuard™ hand carts offer end users greater flexibility over traditional hand carts, which provide little customization. Des-Case’s unique angle offers end users a chance to create their carts entirely on Des-Case’s website at a very affordable price.

Visit http://www.des-case.com/myhandcart/ to specify your cart with our interactive, user-friendly code and cart customizer.

“Consumers are the true architects of this idea,” said Brian Gleason, president of Des-Case. “The FlowGuard™ hand cart series was created to specifically address their desire for a customizable filter cart with superior quality.”

The design of the hand cart incorporates the cleaning capability of dual filter media and the sealing capability of the quick disconnects. Pairing it with FlowGuard™ quick connect adaptors makes oil handling even easier and cleaner. By combining these endorsed methods into one cost-effective package, FlowGuard™ helps conquer ingression of dirt and water.

January 27, 2006   Fluke Ti30 Thermal Imager: Simple As

When purchasing a thermal imager, practical performance is a key consideration. Maintenance organizations require an imager that is affordable, reliable and easily operated by plant technicians. It should also have robust image processing capabilities that improve predictive maintenance results.

The Fluke Ti30 thermal imager enables maintenance personnel to capture high-quality infrared images quickly and easily: users in the field simply need to “aim, focus and shoot.” Because the imager collects temperature data for every one of its 19,200 pixels, analysis of all that information can be performed with the InsideIR(tm) PC software, in the quiet, comfort and safety of an office.

Palette settings, emissivity values and reflected temperature compensation values are easily changeable after the image is stored in the camera and downloaded to a PC running Fluke InsideIR(tm) software, which is bundled with the Ti30 imager. This allows one thermography specialist in a plant to manage a much larger infrared predictive maintenance program-and delegate inspection routing responsibilities to maintenance professionals who specialize in the equipment being inspected (e.g. electricians and mechanics). The trained expert is free to handle program management, image analysis and interpretation, and report generation.

January 27, 2006   Best Value In Vibration Analysis

Commtest Instruments is a company dedicated to providing the world’s best value in vibration analysis products.

These products include vibration data collectors, portable vibration analyzers and permanently installed ‘online’ machinery surveillance systems, all sharing a common interface; our admired Ascent® software.

The vbSeries of portable analyzers represents a fresh new concept in Vibration Analysis. Commtest Instruments has built our products to include the core features and functions used by veteran condition monitoring professionals. At the same time we have left out all the unnecessary “bells and whistles” that place similar products out of financial reach for many who would benefit from this powerful technology. We then present these functions in intuitive easy-to-use menus enabling first time users to be up and running in minutes, not days.

With vbOnline™ you can continuously monitor machinery in the most inaccessible environments without disrupting your productivity, and because it is significantly less labor intensive, you increase bottom line profitability.

January 27, 2006   Impedance Calculator CD

YOUR GUIDE TO GREAT ENERGY SAVINGS

Free Software Calculator

To have good Impedance balance between phases is as important as having balanced voltage input! The problems and costs associated with these types of unbalances are severe and the profits released in your plants by performing a simple 2 minute test on a motor, new or old, can be substantial!

The Impedance Calculator, which is used with our ALL-TEST IV PRO 2000 tester, or any other Impedance tester, is an easy to use software program where you enter your own numbers for kilowatt cost, type and size motor, number of starts and stops, etc. and get a report on not only energy cost savings but also a good idea of repair costs and longevity of a motor.

Unbalance in Voltage and Impedance is inversely proportional to each other (i.e.: 3.5% Voltage Unbalance = 3.5% Impedance Unbalance). In this way, the Impedance Unbalance Calculator can also be used to calculate the impact of Voltage Unbalance.

The Impedance Calculator CD comes with a complete User Manual and is Free for your asking.
