SPL Launches Enterprise Business Intelligence for EAM

SPL® LAUNCHES ENTERPRISE BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE FOR ENTERPRISE ASSET & WORK MANAGEMENT

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, FEBRUARY 27, 2006 – SPL WorldGroup today announced the launch of Enterprise Business Intelligence for SPL® Enterprise Asset & Work Management (EBI for EAM).  EBI for EAM follows the 2005 release of EBI for Customer Care & Billing, demonstrating SPL’s continued commitment to integrating Business Intelligence software solutions across their entire enSUMIT suite of products.

SPL’s vision of a functionally rich and intuitive EBI application led to the creation of a unique architecture that sits on top of, and quickly pulls data directly from, live SPL applications.  Compared to generic data warehouse tools that are cumbersome, time consuming and costly, SPL EBI for EAM is designed as a true “out of the box” application.  Pre-configured analytics in SPL EBI provide a launching point that can be extended to deliver a broad range of performance indicators.  This end-to-end offering gives customers immediate value by providing a far more encompassing picture of their entire organization.

“As business climates continue to become more competitive, the demand for Business Intelligence solutions will continue to increase as organizations look for ways to reach peak operational efficiencies,” noted Houghton LeRoy, EAM Group Research Director with the ARC Advisory Group.  “To gain the greatest efficiencies from your asset management planning, a Business Intelligence solution that is architected to integrate directly with the EAM solution can help generate the immediate data needed to make more strategic decisions.”

“SPL EBI for EAM bridges the gap between asset information and mission-critical goals and initiatives,” commented Dave Mulit, president of SPL Synergen, SPL’s Enterprise Asset & Work Management Business Unit.  “The quality and visibility of data is immediately elevated to better predict changing plant and market conditions.  This provides crucial insights, which will help our clients to better define and execute optimized business processes.  The result is a direct impact on improved customer service and the bottom line – as well as fostering an organizational culture of continuous improvement.”
