Intelligroup wins $1.5 mn contract from Middle East

Intelligroup, a consulting, business optimization, and outsourcing company serving corporations and the public sector, has signed a $1.5 million contract with Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), a manufacturer of petrochemical products in the Middle East. Intelligroup will implement the latest version of mySAP ERP 2005 to update and enhance GPIC’s current IT infrastructure.

Said Ranjit Prithviraj, Chief Operating Officer, Intelligroup Asia, “ GPIC’s core business functions have been supported by mainframe based applications. Faced with the complexities of a fast growing business, GPIC decided to deploy an efficient and effective system to provide timely and accurate data to support the decision making process, optimize business processes and increase operational efficiency. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the existing environment Intelligroup will implement mySAP ERP 2005 for GPIC.”

The mySAP ERP 2005 implementation will be completed over an eight month period of time and include modules for financial accounting, controlling, materials management, quality management, production planning, plant maintenance, sales and distribution, project systems, environment, health and safety and HR. Upon completion of the project Intelligroup will provide post production support for three months.

Said Abdul Rahman Jawahery, General Manager, Gulf Petrochemical Industries, “We selected Intelligroup, among many other players, because of its flexible delivery capability, project management capability and customer references in the Middle East. Moreover, Intelligroup is the largest SAP implementation partner in the Middle East in the midsize segment, and hence a natural choice for us.”
