Infor Takes Top Enterprise Software Honors at FOSE 2008

Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition Chosen for Helping Government Organizations Reduce Energy Costs and Carbon Emissions

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Infor today announced that Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition, a software solution that integrates energy management with traditional enterprise asset management (EAM) capabilities, won a Government Computer News (GCN) Best of FOSE Award, which recognizes the best new IT products for use in the public sector. From over 100 products on display at FOSE 2008, Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition was judged by the editors and technology analysts of GCN as the best new software for enterprise systems.

One of the largest costs for government entities is the energy used to operate facilities and assets. Reducing energy consumption is important to public sector organizations because energy is a bottom line expense taken from operating budgets that are better served improving services for citizens. Additionally, U.S. Federal agencies are mandated by the President’s Executive Order 13423 to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 30 percent by the end of fiscal year 2015, relative to their baseline energy use in fiscal year 2003.

Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition is an enterprise software solution that allows organizations to integrate energy consumption and emissions management into their asset management practices (see March 26, 2007 press release titled Infor Helps Organizations Reduce Energy Costs and Achieve Sustainability Goals ). The software monitors the energy consumption of assets like chillers, HVAC, lighting, and production equipment, providing alerts when an asset performs outside of acceptable thresholds. The software will automatically issue work orders to remediate the underperforming asset.

Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition’s dashboards provide managers a real-time understanding of energy consumption at the agency, department, facility, and asset level. The software correlates total energy consumption to carbon emissions, providing officials with reports on the carbon footprint of their operations. At the asset level, Infor EAM Asset Sustainability Edition can benchmark energy performance over time and provide an assessment of the potential dollar savings gained through retrofitting facilities with more energy-efficient assets.

For the GCN Best of FOSE Award, GCN’s editors and technology analysts reviewed new products during the show and chose the winners based on four criteria: innovation, usability/applicability to government, relative performance based on specifications, and value.

Infor is committed to helping customers implement sustainability programs that benefit the environment and the bottom line. In addition to EAM solutions, Infor offers a portfolio of enterprise software that addresses green and sustainability processes. These include Supply Chain Management (SCM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Performance Management (PM) and ERP. For more information, visit http://www.infor.com/goinggreen.
